Changpeng Zhao (CZ) , founder of Binance, has denied that his post on X played any role in the removal of a Solana advertisement in Shanghai, stating that the ad was taken down within just 10 minutes—long before he even saw it.
The clarification comes after speculation on social media linked CZ’s post to the ad’s removal. CZ emphasized that the timing of the takedown preceded his awareness of the situation, ruling out any direct or indirect responsibility on his part.
Neither Solana nor the parties responsible for the ad have issued an official comment. Analysts note that the incident reflects growing sensitivity toward the influence of prominent figures in the crypto space on public matters.
