Crypto scammers have reportedly stolen more than $400,000 through phishing advertisements impersonating Uniswap on Google Search.
According to reports shared across the crypto community, attackers used sponsored search ads to push fake Uniswap links above legitimate results, tricking users into connecting wallets and approving malicious transactions.
Security researchers continue warning that phishing campaigns targeting DeFi users are becoming increasingly sophisticated, especially through paid advertisements, fake domains, and cloned interfaces.
Users are advised to verify links only through official project websites, verified social media accounts, or trusted platforms before connecting wallets or signing transactions.
