"Peter Schiff Warns Oil Prices Could Soar as SPR Releases End After Midterms and Inflation Weakens Dollar"

Economist Peter Schiff has warned that oil prices could surge in the coming period, predicting that Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) releases will end after the U.S. midterm elections, removing downward pressure on prices.

In his analysis, Schiff pointed out that persistent inflation outpacing the Federal Reserve's rate hikes will erode the U.S. dollar's value, intensifying inflationary pressure and driving up prices of essential commodities—particularly oil.

Schiff argues that current monetary policy is insufficient to contain inflation, and that continued U.S. budget deficits and high government spending will further weaken the dollar in the medium term, making dollar-denominated commodities like oil and gold more attractive to investors.

The warning comes at a sensitive time, as markets closely watch the Fed's rate decisions and their impact on energy prices and currencies, amid expectations of continued volatility driven by geopolitical tensions.
