A new Financial Times poll showed former U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval rating falling to 39% as concerns over the economy and tensions involving Iran continue to weigh on voters.
According to the survey, nearly 58% of respondents disapproved of Trump’s handling of inflation and the rising cost of living, while about 54% said they disapproved of his approach to the conflict and tensions involving Iran.
The poll indicated that many voters blame higher oil and gasoline prices for worsening the cost-of-living crisis, adding further economic pressure on American households.
The findings come as global energy markets continue to experience volatility driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
