Strategy has announced the acquisition of 13,927 Bitcoin (BTC) for approximately $1 billion, at an average price of around $71,902 per coin, according to a statement by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor.
The latest purchase brings the company’s total holdings to 780,897 BTC, acquired at a cumulative cost of roughly $59.02 billion, with an average price of about $75,577 per Bitcoin.
The move reinforces Strategy’s aggressive accumulation strategy and long-term conviction in Bitcoin as a treasury asset. The firm also reported achieving a BTC yield of 5.6% year-to-date in 2026.
With its growing reserves, Strategy is now approaching the scale of major institutional holders, including BlackRock, which holds approximately 788,927 BTC through its investment vehicles.
Analysts note that continued large-scale accumulation by corporate and institutional entities could further tighten Bitcoin supply and support long-term price dynamics.
